LOCATION/DEPT: Assigned School/Migrant Education
REPORTS TO: Director of ESL/Migrant Education
FLSA Status: Non Exempt
Start Date: 6/01/2023; Temporary Part Time with No Benefits.
5 to 19 hours per week
Qualifications and Special Requirements:
- Bilingual Spanish and English
- High School Diploma required, post-secondary degree preferred.
- Experience working with immigrant youth, specifically migrant farmworkers.
- Excellent communication and social skills with young children and parents.
- Comfortable working independently to deliver tutoring curriculum in migrant housing locations throughout Henderson County.
- Valid driver’s license with access to personal vehicle to travel to homes with preschool children. All mileage will be reimbursed.
Responsibilities:
- Work with MEP Coordinator to identify academic and basic needs of migrant OSY.
- Travel in personal vehicle to migrant housing locations to deliver educational services to homes with preschool children.
- Part-Time Temporary position, 5-19 hours per week. Not eligible for benefits.
