LOCATION/DEPT: Migrant Education REPORTS TO: Director of ESL/Migrant Education
FLSA Status : Non-Exempt
Start Date: 12/1/2024; Permanent Full Time with Full Benefits
12 month; 8 hour position
Responsibilities:
- Seeking out and identifying MEP families to complete Certificate of Eligibility and connect families with services
- Promote relationships between students and counselors, teacher, and/or other school staff, as needed, to discuss student's courses, grades, and educational resources
- Complete needs assessments
- Provide needs based services
- Support out of school and in school youth as needed
- Occasional travel
- Attend all required state trainings
- Hours vary widely as needed and depending on agricultural season
- Evening work will be required during peak season
Qualifications:
- HS Diploma Required, Bachelor's Degree preferred
- Bilingual English/Spanish Required
- Strong organizational skills and ability to to make decisions independently
- Ability to work independently and efficiently
- Strong communication skills
- Familiarity with Powerschool, MSIX or other database
- Evening Hours required
- Personal Transportation and Valid Drivers License Required, mileage reimbursement provided
